Do you know that 1.1 billion people in the world, mostly in developing nations, do NOT have access to clean water? The earth is made up of 70% water and only 3% of it is fresh water. About 2% of that is frozen in the polar ice caps. Americans use 150 gallons of water per day. Here is the breakdown:
Toilet flush - 5-7 gallons
Shower - 25 gallons
Dishwasher - 16 gallons And a billion people on earth still struggle to find 5 gallons.
There is a non-profit organization called Charity : Water and they think that water is a fundamental right and they are doing something about it by selling $20 bottles of water (shown above) and donated 100% of the profits from those sales and rehabilitating and constructing freshwater wells.
