Tomorrowland : Bilbao

My obsession with Spain continues.

Not only am I completely smitten with one Mr. Mario Batali and the brilliance that is 'Spain On the Road Again' but now a whole new world has been revealed to me through modern Spanish architecture.

The picture to the right is a snapshot of the newest addition to the streets of Bilbao known as the Basque Health Department Headquarters as designed by Coll-Barreu Arqitectos. Bilbao, the largest city in Basque country, really has the toehold (what does this saying really mean anyway?) on progressive architecture, being home to the Guggenheim de Bilbao designed by one of my heroes, Frank Gehry and now this incredible specimen of man's ability to make fantasy a reality.
